Aerospace Companies in Bangalore: an overview
Bengaluru's aerospace base was built around public sector manufacturers and the space programme. Hindustan Aeronautics is headquartered in the city, and Bharat Electronics, incorporated in 1954, has its registered office at Nagavara on the Outer Ring Road. NewSpace India Limited, the commercial arm of the Department of Space, is registered at the ISRO headquarters campus on New BEL Road and runs its corporate office from Yeswanthpur.
A private supply chain has grown up alongside them. Dynamatic Technologies is registered in the KIADB Aerospace Park near the airport, and Mahindra Aerospace Structures runs a 25,000 square-metre plant in east Bengaluru that opened in 2013 and began serial deliveries in 2015. Alpha Design Technologies was set up in the city in 2004 to build defence electronics, avionics and satellite systems, and Hyderabad-based Ananth Technologies assembled and tested the SPADEX docking satellites at its Bengaluru facility.
Global aircraft makers use the city for engineering. Boeing says its 43-acre Bengaluru campus, home to the Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center, is its largest facility of that kind outside the United States, with about US$200 million invested. Airbus announced a 5,000-seat technology centre in Bengaluru in March 2026. Newer space companies, including Digantara, Pixxel and Bellatrix Aerospace, are also based in the city.
