Software Companies in Bangalore: an overview
Bengaluru's software employers are spread across several large clusters rather than one central district: Electronic City on Hosur Road in the south, Whitefield and the EPIP Zone in the east, the Outer Ring Road corridor, and Manyata in the north. Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) runs a Bengaluru directorate with sub-centres at Mysuru, Hubballi, Mangaluru, Manipal and Davanagere. STPI says units under its Bengaluru jurisdiction exported software worth about Rs 4,53,593 crore in FY 2024-25. Infosys, Wipro, Mphasis, Happiest Minds, Tata Elxsi and Tally Solutions are among the software firms headquartered in the city.
The state electronics agency KEONICS, which developed Electronic City, gives its area as 332 acres. The Electronics City Industries Association (ELCIA) says it has more than 140 members, and its member list includes Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro and Tech Mahindra. Infosys gives Electronics City, Hosur Road as its business address in its US filings. In Whitefield, International Tech Park Bangalore (ITPB) sits on 65.8 acres; CapitaLand India Trust's 2023 annual report lists 5.2 million sq ft of floor area in 12 buildings and a park population of 62,000. SAP Labs India and LTM have offices in the nearby EPIP Zone.
The Outer Ring Road is the other main concentration. Its companies' association, ORRCA, has said the road supports more than 500 companies and around 1.3 million employees, according to The News Minute in August 2026. Accenture, Oracle, Tech Mahindra, HCLTech, Mphasis and Subex list offices along it, in parks such as Pritech Park, RMZ Ecoworld and Bagmane. Near Nagawara, on the road's northern stretch, Embassy Manyata had 13.2 million sq ft of completed offices and 16.6 million sq ft in total at 94% occupancy on 31 December 2025, Embassy REIT reports. IBM India and Cognizant are among the REIT's ten largest occupiers by rent.
