Top Companies in Delhi: an overview
New Delhi is the registered home of many of India's central public sector enterprises, and several of them sit within a few kilometres of each other. NTPC's head office is in the SCOPE Complex on Lodhi Road, the same road as SAIL's Ispat Bhawan and NBCC Bhawan. Bhikaiji Cama Place in R.K. Puram houses GAIL Bhawan and Engineers India Bhawan, while Power Finance Corporation is registered at Urjanidhi on Barakhamba Lane in Connaught Place.
Nelson Mandela Road in Vasant Kunj, in the south-west of the city, is another corporate address of note. Maruti Suzuki, ONGC and Hero MotoCorp all list offices there. Other private groups run their head offices from districts such as Aerocity, where DCM Shriram has its corporate office, Jasola, home to Godfrey Phillips' corporate office, and Okhla Industrial Area, where Ahluwalia Contracts is registered.
Delhi's role as a registered address does not always match where a company's management sits. InterGlobe Aviation, which runs IndiGo, is registered on Janpath but has its corporate office in Gurugram, and HCLTech is registered in Nehru Place while its headquarters is in Noida. Companies like these are left out of the list below, which includes only firms whose registered or corporate head office is within the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
