Top IT Companies in India: an overview
India's technology and business-services sector is one of the country's largest export earners. Industry estimates from NASSCOM, summarised by the India Brand Equity Foundation, put sector revenue for FY2026 at roughly US$315 billion, about 6% higher than the year before. Exports make up most of that total at around US$246 billion, while the domestic market is estimated at about US$69 billion. Software services exports alone rose about 8% to roughly US$221 billion, according to RBI data cited in the same summary.
This list ranks Indian-headquartered IT services, engineering R&D (ER&D) services and banking-software companies by the consolidated revenue from operations each reported for the fiscal year ended 31 March 2026. The figures are in rupees, so they include currency effects. HCLTech, for example, reported FY2026 revenue of ₹130,144 crore, up 11.2% in rupee terms but only 3.9% in constant currency. Wipro reported gross revenue of ₹926.2 billion, up 4.0%.
Some scope notes. Business-process management firms are left out, so the list stays within IT services, ER&D and software products. Hexaware keeps a January–December financial year, so its figure covers calendar 2025. LTIMindtree now trades as LTM Limited. Tata Elxsi's figure is standalone revenue. All other figures are consolidated.
